Yesterday was the 2009 OC Tanner Process Team Chili cook off. Of my team of 20 we had 5 people bring in their home made chili's for the contest. It was some stiff competition. Last year, for some reason my white chicken chili came off a little soupy, this year I made some adjustments and it came out quite a bit spicier than it usually does. The judges came by around lunch time and took copious notes of the chilis. Mine wasn't the only white bean chicken chili. There were also some traditional recipes and one that was really good that had a lot of cinnamon in the recipe.But still, I took this award. It will join the many other lucite frames that sit in my cubicle.
It got a little awkward, because I made the awards, asked the judges to come and taste the chili's and then won. But that's not going to stop me from keeping the title.
